Tour de France of wines: through a tasting of 4 wines from the 4 main wine regions of France, discover the wines from France, their diversity and the notions of « terroir » and « appellation».
Blending workshop: Bordeaux wines are blends made up with various types of grapes (Cabernet sauvignon, Merlot…). Taste each grape separately and according to your own taste, create your very own cuvée!
Aperitif with traditional French delicacies (fresh bread, cheese…) and discover your wine tasting profile
12.30 pm : Picnic lunch at A la Francaise's Appartment, a traditional flat in the city center of Bordeaux dating from the 18e century.
1.45 pm: Leave Bordeaux and drive to Saint-Emilion. The guide will provide you with all the information about the Bordeaux & Saint-Emilion wine regions.
2.30 pm: Visit an authentic and charming family-run estate of the right bank. Feel the intimacy and authenticity of a private chateau ran by a passionate family for generations. Visit the vineyards, the traditional vat room and cellar of this intimate estate! Chateaux partners: Chateau de Reignac (Bordeaux supérieur), Chateau Siaurac (Lalande-Pomerol), Chateau de Sales (Pomerol), Chateau Gaby (Fronsac), Chateau de Pressac (Saint-Emilion)...
Tasting class: – Become a wine expert !
« Intense color, woody aromas, tannic taste… » Ouch !! What does it mean?
You will learn the steps of a proper tasting and will educate your nose in order to identify the wines aromas. We will give you our tips and tricks to taste like a pro!
At the end of the visit, you will enjoy some tasting of the chateau’s wines.
4.30 pm: Visit a Great Classified Growth estate overlooking the Saint-Emilion vineyards (Chateau Soutard, Chateau de Ferrand…) There, you will enjoy explanations about the winemaking process from the vine to the bottle. To finish, enjoy an aperitif in a tasting room with French delicacies (fresh bread, cheese…)
5.45 pm: Enjoy a guided tour of the village of Saint Emilion, classified on UNESCO’s World Heritage list. Saint-Emilion is a typical charming French village dating back to medieval times surrounded by vineyards that took its name.
7.15 pm: Back in Bordeaux.
