Jaffelin
Jaffelin
Domain Jaffelin, located in the heart of Beaune, is dominated by the roman bell tower of the church. The resonating sound of the bells is magnified by the outstanding beauty of the 12th century cellars dug by Beaune’s Canons. Small, yet extremely deep, Jaffelin’s cellars are the most ancient of the city. Their intriguing architecture will have you going back in time to the early 12th century, all the way to the Gallo-Roman Antiquity. Wines of the House are aromatically powerful and expressive. They are macerated, pressed and raised right here, in the winding undergrounds of Beaune.
Patriarche
Patriarche
The Patriarche House, founded in 1780, appears to be a phantasmagoric universe where dream and reality meet through kilometers of cellars buried under Beaune’s surface. Based in the former visitandine convent, a haven of peace and serenity for distressed woman, the cellars have gone through the major periods of Beaune’s religious History. A sacred thread that will lead us to a diversified tasting of the most delicate Burgundy appellations. Wines are raised according to the purest tradition of local producers, settled down in Beaune since the 18th century thanks to whom Beaune has become the capital of the great Burgundy wines.
Domaine Picard
Domaine Picard
The Picard Domain, property of the Picard Family, settled in Château de Chassage might just be one of Burgundy’s most important family run Estate thanks to the diversity and quality of land owned. As you walk through the elegant gates of the Château, you will, for sure, feel the sensitivity of the owner, a woman, oenologue. Indeed traditions are present but you can feel her thirst for innovation and arts through bright colors and creative materials. Wines are produced and raised by the talented Francine Picard.
Domaine Lejeune
Domaine Lejeune
Lejeune Domain, situated in the heart of the authentic village of Pommard, is the archetype of Burgundy family wineries. The House is run by Aubert, a former engineer that eventually chose to take on family traditions as his passion for good Chardonnays and Pinots was growing bigger. Wines are raised with love, patience and in absolute respect to mother nature, following the unique and unusual process of maceration in full bunches. The attention and consideration to visitors shows their humility that is delicately translated into their wines.
Domaine Bertagna
Domaine Bertagna
Bertagna domain is surrounded by the grand crus vines of the Côte de Nuits-Saint-Georges, in the heart of Vougeot. A village where, thanks to the presence of Cistercian monks, water flowing from the Vouge river would turn into wine ! Wines are vinified by a terroir man although the domain remains the property of a german family, from Trier, since 1982. Here’s the proof that Burgundy’s treasures can only be owned by the ones who truly love and worship them ! Various appellations are sitting at the domain, waiting for us to savor a couple from the 5 grands crus and seven premiers crus modeled by the House. An exclusive sensory experience.
