Shore excursion to Aix-en-Provence and Cassis
Meet your local guide at the Marseille cruise terminal at 9am and jump aboard your A la Française minivan for a day trip in Provence!
First stop on your excursion is to the town of Aix en Provence. Enjoy a nice walk in this lovely city and discover the Cours Mirabeau lined with 17th and 18th centuries private mansions. Benefit from the shade of its old plane trees on a hot summer day.
Walk through the charming streets of Aix-en-Provence and see the Place d’Albertas and the fountain with its basin made by local students. With its colorful facades, this place is the perfect spot for a nice picture! Cheese! On your way, do not miss the Four Dolphins Fountain, an impressive sculpture created in 1667.
Continue your walking tour of Aix-en-Provence through the narrow streets to discover the unique architecture of this vibrant city... Do not miss the City Hall, the Cathedral Saint Sauveur and the typical local markets. Your walk through the old town will lead you to lovely shops, bustling squares and refreshing fountains...
After your visit to Aix-en-Provence it's time to climb back aboard your minivan and drive in comfort along the Crests Road to Cape Canaille. From here you will admire an exceptional view over the bay of Cassis and the Guardiole mountain range.

After your drive, your tour will arrive in Cassis. This typical fishing port is today one of the most beautiful and emblematic villages of Provence. You will have the opportunity to enjoy a 1-hour boat cruise (ticket not included) to discover the famous Calanques with their small ports and lovely beaches.
