OUR STORY
Before joining the A la Française! family, our agency was called Provence Réservation. Provence Réservation has existed for the last 25 years. It's getting on! The company has evolved enormously over the years, has come up with a huge variety of tours, and today has a fleet of twenty or so minibuses, spread across Avignon, Aix-en-Provence and Marseille, and just as many driver-guides, ready to take care of you and show you our stunning region.
For us, Provence is the quintessence of the French art of living! Millennial history, small hilltop villages, cypress trees, olive trees, umbrella pine trees, vineyards, local markets and lavender fields as far as the eye can see (in June and July).
Our goal is to show you our region the way just we like it; from the inside, in a way that you would never be able to discover it if on your own. Your guide will take you off the beaten track towards unique viewpoints; they will share their stories about the region with you and they’ll have lots of good tips about where to park during the high season so as to save time. With them you’ll discover the region’s treasures in the best conditions. They will chauffeur you with the utmost care, in air-conditioned and comfortable top of the range minibuses.
Our agency offers several types of tours adaptable to your needs, your timing and your budget:
- shared tours, in small groups of 8 people maximum, 7 days a week, in the morning, in the afternoon, or for the whole day. We offer a number of different tours to take in the iconic sites of Provence.
- private tours, whether as a couple, a family or as a group of friends. The visit will unfold at your own pace allowing you to explore the region in perfect conditions.
- tailor-made stays, for those wanting to be taken care of from A to Z. Whether you’re after an excursion through the vineyards accompanied by our expert guides, a cooking class, a charming local hotel or an open-air picnic, Mélanie, Julia and Sarah are there for you!
They know the region like the back of their hands and will come up with just the right activity for you or put together your whole stay!

OUR DREAM TEAM
At the A la Française! Provence agency, located in the heart of Avignon (why not pop in and see us: 4 rue de la République, 4th floor), we speak with a southern accent, we use colloquial language, we exchange 3 kisses in the morning and we laugh a lot because down here in the sunny south, we are always in a good mood! We are all either real locals or have been living in the region for a long time. And we are proud to work towards the promotion of our beautiful heritage.
There are a dozen or so employees in our Avignon agency. Frédérique heads up the team with both rigour and good humour; Amélie manage client relations, Caro takes care of our guides and minibuses, Marine coordinates with our partners (monuments, wine estates, etc.) and Mélanie, Julia, Sarah and Margaux concoct dream stays for groups and individuals, in both Provence and in all of the regions where A la Française! is present. And Laurence deals with our accounts. As for Pierre-Jean, the founder and the boss of the A la Française! family, he spends 3 days here every 2 weeks, just as he does in all the regions where we are present. As far as the driver-guides go, Florence, Lucie, Remy and Emile are with us all year round, and are joined by the very best seasonal driver-guides, between the months of April through to October, across our bases in Avignon, Aix-en -Provence and Marseille.
There’s no messing around as far as customer satisfaction goes. That you be satisfied with your time spent with us: that’s great, but it’s not enough. Our goal is quite simply to make sure that your day or your stay with us remains engraved in your memory as the highlight of your holiday. Our ambition relies hugely on the quality of our team of driver-guides: they are all passionate about what they do. They have a sparkle in their eyes and a wide smile on their faces. They love meeting people from all over the world. Our recruitment process is strict. We only recruit real gems. Up until today, this has allowed us to recruit (and retain) an amazing team, with multiple talents and multiple personalities.
