Discover Reims, visit the emblematic House of Champagne Veuve Clicquot. Head to Epernay to the heart of the vineyard to admire the Champagne Avenue and Hautvillers. Be welcomed at a typical Champagne House (Le Clos Corbier) and appreciate an animated Champagne masterclass. In the afternoon, be immersed in the authenticity of a family grower.


Meet your expert guide at 9.00 am in front of the tourist office of Reims centre train station and start the day with the discovery of reims city center. 

Drive by “Notre dame de Reims”, one of the first monument to be registered as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Absorb the historical atmosphere of the city, home of the coronation of more than 25 kings of France. Admire the “Grandes Maisons de Champagne” such as Taittinger and Pommery. 

Thereafter, enjoy a full tour in the underground cellars of the prestigious Champagne House Veuve Clicquot as a first introduction to the Champagne making process and explore the 25 meter deep 2000 year old cellars. Finish the visit by savoring a nice  glass of the famous “Yellow Label” Champagne.

Enjoy a moment in the vineyards, with breathtaking views on the UNESCO world’s heritage vines of Champagne and acquire knowledge of the particularities of our “terroir”. You will then Discover the village of Hautvillers, birthplace of Champagne. Get to enter the church where the famous monk Dom Pérignon is buried. 
Drive through the famous Champagne Avenue in Epernay, capital of Champagne, where some of the most prestigious estates are based : Pol Roger, Perrier Jouët, Moët&Chandon, Boizel... 

Be welcomed in Mareuil-sur-Ay at a typical Champagne House (Le Clos Corbier). After a Champagne quizz, train your nose to identify the different aromas and flavors that can be found in Champagne through an olfactory workshop. Get competitive as you get to identify blindly 3 different Champagnes from boutique wineries all while eating some local snacks. 

Immerse yourself into the french lifestyle with a traditional lunch which consists in homemade regional specialties paired with a variety of Champagnes. 

You will spend the afternoon alongside a champagne producer, get behind the scenes, visit the press, vat room, cellar and get to appreciate the tools and expertise of a small Champagne maker. Appreciate several tastings of their own production and acquire tasting knowledge with these rare Champagnes! 

After a day full of experiences and precious souvenirs, your guide will drop you off, in front of the tourist office of Reims centre train station at 6.00 pm. 



TRAIN INFORMATION IF YOU ARE DOING PARIS REIMS FOR THE DAY :

If you come from Paris by train, book it as soon as possible to get the best fares (also the trains can get sometimes fully booked)

1. Weekdays (from Monday to Friday)

Take the journey leaving from Paris Est at 7:38 am and arriving Reims centre at 8:41 am.

There is a connection in this itinerary :
- 1st train (2501) leaves at 7.38 am from Paris Est and arrives at 8.18 am at Champagne Ardenne TGV (2501)
- 2nd train (40503) leaves at 8.30 am from Champagne Ardenne TGV and arrives at 8.41 am at Reims centre. This train will be on the opposite plateform (it will take you only 1 minute to connect !)

If you prefer taking a direct train, then take the 6.58am train from Paris Est which arrives at Reims Centre train station at 7.44am.

2. Weekends (Saturday and Sunday)

Take the journey leaving from Paris Est at 7:55 am and arriving Reims centre at 8:56 am.

There is a connection in this itinerary :
- 1st train (2407) leaves at 7.55 am from Paris Est and arrives at 8.34 am at Champagne Ardenne TGV (2501)
- 2nd train (40503) leaves at 8.44 am from Champagne Ardenne TGV and arrives at 8.56 am at Reims centre. This train will be on the opposite plateform (it will take you only 1 minute to connect !)

We will meet outside the train station of Reims Centre in front of the tourist office. Take the walking exit « REIMS CENTRE ».

Be careful, there are two tourists offices in Reims. The meeting point is at the train station tourist office, not the cathedral tourist office.

For the return train back to Paris : please take one from 6.45 pm.
