9.00 am: Your wine tour starts at 9am when you'll be greeted in front of the Bordeaux tourist office by your guide and board your comfortable minivan. A short drive of around 40 minutes and you will arrive in the Saint-Emilion region. On the way, your guide will give you loads of information about our region, our wines and our culture. He/she will be more than happy to answer all your questions!
Visit of the village of Saint-Emilion. Enjoy a guided tour in the little streets of the old town of Saint Emilion dating back from the 9th century and still perfectly preserved thanks to its classification on the UNESCO heritage list. The village is located at the top of a hill and offers breathtaking views on the surrounding vineyards.
Be warmly welcomed at a beautiful Classified Growth chateau (Grand Cru Classé in French) just outside the village. You will learn all about this wine region through the visit and wine tasting paired with an aperitive platter.
After the chateau visit, you will head back to Bordeaux to taste a delicious french picnic lunch at "A la Française's" appartment.
After lunch you will be back on the road and drive along the famous and mythical “Chateau Route” to the Medoc.
You’ll do a quick stop at Château Margaux for a photo in front of the most famous winery of Bordeaux!
Your tour of Medoc will take you on to visit a Great Classified Growth 1855 estate, one of the most prestigious chateaux of Bordeaux. Your visit will start in the vineyards in front of the château, followed by a tour of the traditional vat room and a visit to the chateau cellar. You will learn about the wine making process from the grape to the bottle.
Your day will finish with a visit to a charming and authentic family-run estate where you will feel the intimacy and authenticity of a private chateau run by a passionate family for generations. Your chateau tour will start in the vineyards and be followed by a tour of the vat room and cellar.
7.00pm: You will be driven back to Bordeaux.
